About Us

At the heart of Still Voice is David Carter, a retired electrician from Texas whose life was changed when he listened to God’s still voice. David was raised Southern Baptist, but his faith developed during his teenage years through Pentecostal worship with its miracles, such as the time he healed his sister’s turtle and witnessed to those who needed help. This memoir, Still Voice, provides accounts of those experiences with God, like saving a man named James from suicide and the times David was called to preach unexpectedly in a prison ministry. David, along with his wife Joyce and their children Jaelynn and Derek, hopes to encourage others to find the truth of God and activate their spiritual gift(s). David is working with the publisher Jack Hudson. He has chosen to donate the proceeds of his book to widows and orphans as directed in Exodus 22:22-24 and James 1:27. David’s ministry began with small steps of faith, such as praying in a hospital for a man named Jerry, and developed into a dedication of lifetime of sharing God’s love and lessons. Whether it is interpreting dreams for his cousin Darrell or fasting on behalf of someone to return their daughter home, David’s experiences show how God tends to work in even the subtlest moments of our lives. Please join us in this mission of hope, faith, and compassion with Still Voice and become part of the movement of elevating hope, faith, and compassion.
